Unfortunately Valve do not provide any information on actual Elo/matchmaking rating (MMR) data nor the distribution of ranks in CS:GO. I am a sucker for statistics and I always like to know where I am currently at, skill-wise, in competitive games with ranked matchmaking like CS:GO, SC2, LoL, DotA2, etc. In the case of DotA2 Valve actually provided information about the percentiles and graphs of the MMR distribution. Unfortunately they have not done so for CS:GO so far.
HACK is the first ETF on the market that focuses on cybersecurity. The index it follows splits the industry into 2 types of firms: 1) those that create cybersecurity hardware and software; 2.
The scoreboards you can browse in the CS:GO client are not ranked by an MMR-based rank in any way, either, so those data are largely useless, too. My final resort was using information provided by users on this subreddit, as specified in their flairs. Self-reported data is obviously biased and unreliable.
In general they will have a shift towards higher ratings. This is not so much because people report that they are Global Elite while they might really be only Gold Nova IV but because bad players are less likely to care enough to post in CS:GO online forums/subreddits/etc. So be careful in interpreting these numbers. Useless data because it only captures a self-selected fraction of a fraction of the community. If you suspect the data is heavily biased, why even post it? There's no way there's as many Silver Is as there are Silver 2, 3, 4 and half of Silver Elite put together, either.
Just a bunch of troll flairs, as usual. Not only will the userbase of be self selecting for people with an above average interest in the game, and therefore likely an above average amount of experience and skill as well, but you can't even trust that they give you correct information. This is a biased selection of a biased selection of the whole CSGO playerbase. At, that's about 0.2% of the userbase and not even close to representative.
